Make a scrapbook, of pictures of the two of you. Make a cd of all his favorite music and have that on when he gets home, make his favorite dinner. Buy a blank book. Paste a couple pictures of the two of you in it. Write a heartfelt letter about how in love you are with him and about your marriage. Then pick several love quotes that really speak to you, or song lyrics, write those in the book. It makes for a cool keepsake. If he's really into music, get tickets to hear one of his favorite bands play. Decorate a shoebox inside put a few of his favorite things, maybe favorite candy, little bottle of cologne, make little cut out tickets he can 'use' One could be for breakfast in bed, another could be for a back massage.Tell him he can use them whenever he wants. :)

I am soooo struggling with the same thing. I just got married and I feel like all of the corny little things I used to do are just too corny or meaningless.
I recall an episode of Ugly Betty. As my husband and I were watching this part came on where the editors wife had dinner ready for him when he got home. She had candles lit and she was all dressed up. I distinctly remember my husband saying "how come you never did that?" haha. He acted like he was kidding but, I could tell it was something that would really make him smile.
So I waited a few weeks.I made him an authentic meal native to his culture and lit some candles. I didnt do the whole dress up thing....a little cheesy at the time. He talked about it for 2 weeks and was soooo sweet on me.
I think little things go a long way.

You can make tab sheets... write him a song... if you want to buy something inexpensive, pics and strings are good.
also - make his favorite dessert.
