Who has a Rhodesian Ridgeback Dog ?
Do you find that your dog eats so fast they don't even chew their food. I timed my dog yesterday, 30 seconds flat and she finished her food. Then she cannot wait for my Alsatian to leave his bowl so she can lick it clean. She will have a sip of water then lick her bowl, another sip of water then lick his bowl and seems to go nuts looking around for more food to eat. She gets the right amount of food , they get a few treats in-between but she just never gets enough. Do you find your dog is much greedier than any of your other dogs.

Ridgebacks are known to be chow hounds. They will steal food off counters, tables, grills....and many have problems with their weight as a result. I have one that is very patient about her food but she grew up with Irish Wolfhounds that border on food indifferent. I have to feed the Ridgeback separate so she doesn't eat everyone else's food. She will refuse to eat until she rejoins the other dogs, and then will devour whatever is in sight. So I make sure that is just her food. I have to watch her carefully so she doesn't get fat.

Yeah my dog finishes her food in less than 40 seconds and then she tries to eat my other dogs food <.>
