For a couple of days now i have noticed dead bee's on my flowers. I do not use poison in my garden. I could not see any spider webs so could not be spiders eating them as the bees are still in my flowers, not eaten. Why would a bee just die whilst pollinating flowers .

We have a fishpond that is empty and i want to start a Alpine garden in it. I have read what soil,gravel etc has to be used but don't know what Alpine plants to buy. I am also worried that i might spend a lot of money on Alpines and then they die. I want to know if anybody has alpines in their garden and are they hardy, do they last through Winter [snow, ice] etc. Will really appreciate any info i can get.tku.:)

Every person in our street owns cats, not just one , two or three sometimes even up to 4 of the awful creatures.

They prowl around like they own your property, pee and poop where they want. They dig up your plants and those who love their gardens know how much a plant can cost.

The leave their poo just where they did their job, don't even have the decency to dig a whole and bury it.

Why are cat-owners allowed to have cats who spend all their time sitting on my plants, killing them trying their best to catch the birds that i feed [bird-food is expensive as well] killing the birds and then return to spend the rest of the day hiding underneath plants for another killing spree.

I detest cats. I feel the owners should have to pay a license fee for the cats they own.

Every year we have at least 3 Blackbird nests in our garden and guess what all three of the little fledgelings have been killed by cats who have the cheek to enter my garden to get at them.

You cannot throw a stone at the little furry psycho's nor throw water at them or you will get reported, so what does a person do???

My dogs will do away with the creatures if i let them out but then i will be the one getting into trouble for my dogs killing the cat. The same owners who don't know where their cats are will then have lots to say and i will still have the same problem because these psycho's are just increasing. Where their were one cat to worry about their are now at least 8 of them.I am at my wits end and i am at a stage where once i cared for cats it has now gone down to zero.

Please keep your cats in your own yards, i don't care that you cannot teach a cat anything or such, keep them in your house, remember it is supposed to be your pet and not a nuicense to others. BAAAAH now i have had my say.:(

Keen to find out more about what you did there. We are going there for a week or two , hubby going to do some flying there but i am interested in knowing what you as a female did to entertain yourself. I know there is lots to do if you enjoy physical sports but what else is there to do. Are there any decent places to eat etc.:))

It is nearly xmas and they have all these show's showing at 'The hawth', we are going on Sunday evening and i have not got a clue what a person should wear. Is it casual, semi-casual or smart. Please help.:)))

I have cut cucumber into spookie shapes, shaped the carrots like claws [as was suggested in newspaper article] shaped tomato's like monster faces etc . Will your kids be impressed with me tonight or will i get a couple of eggs thrown at me. Remember those in the know wants your children to eat healthy and these were just a few suggestions they made. [I will be eating the chocolates and crisps].:))

This last week i know of at least 3 people who have thrown themselves in front of trains. It makes me so sad to know that there are people out there who have lost all faith in life and love. How sad they must have been to do something like that. I also feel sad for the train-drivers who has to go through the horror of what they see and they must feel terrible. Then i also feel sorry for the poor guys who have to clean the trains afterwards. Did you know that when someone actually hit the train it causes damages to the train as well. I never knew that. Sad subject i know but it is worrying me.

If their are any Tollgates between Johannesburg and Durban and how much do they charge.

Do you find that your dog eats so fast they don't even chew their food. I timed my dog yesterday, 30 seconds flat and she finished her food. Then she cannot wait for my Alsatian to leave his bowl so she can lick it clean. She will have a sip of water then lick her bowl, another sip of water then lick his bowl and seems to go nuts looking around for more food to eat. She gets the right amount of food , they get a few treats in-between but she just never gets enough. Do you find your dog is much greedier than any of your other dogs.

I have been here since 10 April 2006, i can't believe it.

I was sitting in the car the other day, saw quite a few people limping out of their cars, then returned with a trolley of goods in perfect health, no limping, nothing. They park in the area where only people with disability's can park.
