Will an unlocked LG Viewty ku990 work with a contract 3 sim card?

The phone that came with the contract broke, so I want to buy a new phone. I am just wondering whether I can buy a viewty, unlock it myself, and have it work fine with my 3 sim card. I do not use the internet or MMS, just texts and calls.

Update:

The phone that broke by the way was a nokia 6500.

    Yes you can use your 3 sim card in the phone as the phone is 3g. You have to be careful with 3 as not all handsets are 3g compatible.

    I should think so,, that's what i did too and also with the viewty and mine works fine. its an 02 contract though.
