How do I make my cell phone work faster?
I have a BlackBerry Pearl 8130, and lately it's been running very slow. I recently deleted all my extra applications in order to save room. It was okay for a while after that, but it's right back to being slow again. This is really bad, because when people call, my phone can't handle it, lags, and makes it a missed call, when I had no chance to pick it up. When I go check to see who it was, it's always unknown, because it wasn't able to load who was calling. I'm pretty sure I've missed a job because of that.
I can't afford another phone, so I really want to make this work. How do I get my phone to how it was when I first got it?

Before you "wipe" your phone (i.e., delete everything off of it), try rebooting it. The easiest way to do that on a Pearl is to pull the battery out while the phone is turned on, wait a few seconds and put the battery back in. That should clear the memory and help it run faster. If that doesn't work, try deleting applications that you don't use, as they use memory too.
As a last resort, you can try a hard reset, or phone wipe. This will wipe EVERYTHING off your phone, so be sure you backup onto your computer beforehand. Of course, if you install all your applications again, you could have the same problem you did before the reset.
This is the procedure for a hard reset:
On your BlackBerry Pearl, go to Options
Select Security Options
Select General Settings
Press the button located left of the trackball
Finally, select Wipe Handheld

I would do a full reset. When you put programs on (I don't know if you can do this since I don't have a BB) see if you can install them to your microSD card. If you don't have a micro and your phone supports it (it should) I would suggest you get one.

what phone company do you have? If you have tmobile they only have wi-fi, not 3g or 4g like att and sprint.
