ATP exergonic Endergonic?

This makes sense.

ADP + Pi + energy-------> ATP Hence it is endergonic since energy is required.

My textbook says that generating ATP is an exergonic reaction. Here is the entire sentence.

ATP serves as the primary energy carrier in living organism, being generated during exergonic reactions.

Yes. To generate ATP is exergonic because when hydrogen ions flow from the intermembrane space in the mitochondrion to the inner membrane, they have to pass through ATP synthase. ATP synthase performs the mechanical operation of joining ADP + Pi by the release of chemical energy (exergonic) by the hydrogen ions flowing down their concentration gradient.

It contradicts because of the fact to confirm that the reaction to ensue, it demands skill/ATP, yet then releases extra as quickly as each and all of the needed reactants are obtained because of the fact the full element of present day technique the reaction is to make a earnings or skill by skill of liberating extra beneficial than replaced into needed to start it. So i assume that in case you had to decide for one, hydrolysis could be exergonic because of the fact it releases extra beneficial than it absorbs.
