  • medical malpractice dentures tooth extraction sue?

I needed all teeth extraction and full dentures. I got half my teeth extracted from another dentist then the other that were left (10 in the front) were extracted by my main dentist. However, he extracted ALL 10 at once. Is this allowed? My body temperature increased and I got a headache. He put the immediate dentures in right away.

Not only that but he never told me that my insurance can only pay for the top dentures so he told them that he only extracted my top teeth and that he only made an upper denture. I found out that when the next annual cycle comes in (when I get another 1000 to use for dental work) he will use all of that up by telling them he did the lower denture and lower tooth extraction. If I tell my insurance what he is doing he is just going to send me the bill because everyone signs a form before all of these procedures are done.

Not only THIS but the dentures are horrible and do not fit and he does NOT want to make any adjustments because the insurance does not pay well. I look ape-like with the dentures in my mouth and can only wear the upper denture. I haven't eaten properly in 12 months and have lost a total of 35 lbs.

I can't go to a new dentist because he took all the money from the insurance plus whatever is coming is within the next annual cycle. If I get my own dentures I would have to pay out of my pocket.

    What are my options?

  • Vertical Jump basketball?

I am 5'7 190 lbs (kinda overweight...around 19% body fat) and with 0 steps my standing vertical is about 1.5 inches from an NBA rim. With a running start.........and momentum I am able to get about an inch over an NBA rim. I have begun to realize that if I dropped 20 pounds I would probably be getting higher. I have never done plyometrics....however I do lift but not seriously......it's mostly squats and deadlifts. I used to be 160 pounds and I would touch rim as well (but I was not squatting back then). The only difference now is that I am 30 pounds heavier (at 160 I was 21% body fat) I have more muscle mass.

I guess my question is.......would I be able to dunk if I lost weight and trained with plyometrics?

  • new Dentures bad dentures?

I had all my teeth extracted and have been given dentures. So far 3 weeks have passed and although there is much less pain, the dentures do not fit me well. I visited the dentist a week ago to get the dentures relined but soon after a couple of days they were loose again. The upper denture is fine and holds. Unfortunately, the lower denture does not hold. The dentist told me to get back to him in 6 months? WHY SUCH A LONG WAIT? I will not be able to eat for the next 6 months as well?

Also the upper denture, although it fits, it's not aesthetically pleasing. It looks as if it protrudes through the lip, is this normal?

  • Calculus- related rates?

An 8 foot long ladder is leaning against a wall. The top of the ladder is sliding down the wall at the rate of 2 feet per second. How fast is the bottom of the ladder moving along the ground at the point in time when the bottom of the ladder is 4 feet from the wall.

    X^2 + Y^2 = 64

    Is it?

    2X (dx/dt) + 2y (dy/dt) = 0

Why is the 2x multiplied to dx/dt is it because both x and y are a function of time (in respect to time).

Is there any other method of solving this problem that is a more intuitive?

  • ATP exergonic Endergonic?

    This makes sense.

ADP + Pi + energy-------> ATP Hence it is endergonic since energy is required.

My textbook says that generating ATP is an exergonic reaction. Here is the entire sentence.

ATP serves as the primary energy carrier in living organism, being generated during exergonic reactions.

  • What doctor should I see?

I have been having knee pain for awhile now. I get a sharp stabbing pain at the top of the knee cap and the side of the knee cap. The pain occurs during a feeling of joint grinding and locking. I feel it may be a meniscal tear.

Should I see an Internal Medicine doctor?

    Orthopedic surgeon?

Does it really matter which one since they both don't know much before they actually see an X-Ray and MRI

  • Knee Pain........what could this be?

A while ago (5 months ago) knee pain started to develop right after I hurt my back. My backs is fine now but within the past 3 days the knee pain has worsened. I made a bed step and now it hurts even more. Basically when I flex my knee it feels as if my knee will have clicking above the knee cap. If my extend my knee it feels as if I will have a clicking below the knee. The knee is also stiff and its hard to put weight on it. The pain isn't so bad and has subsided by a lot but the clicking is very annoying........

What can this be?I have had an ACL tear a long time ago in my other knee and it does not hurt. However I did have some sort of injury that required surgery for my current hurting knee to which I did not want and the pain went away after a month.

  • Foot pain.....leg pain senior citizen confused?

I went to a doctor to check if I have PAD (peripheral arterial disease) to which it came back negative.

No doctor can understand my pain.

I begin to walk and (not always) but usually.....calf muscle will feel like a cramp.......hamstrings start to have a burn-like feeling and the bottom of my feet feel as if I am walking on small tennis balls to which I can longer quick and I have fell many times. One time I took off my socks to see if my foot was swollen and NOTHING.

What could this possibly be. I have thought possible neuropathy but these are not symptoms of neuropathy.

I had a stent put in to my leg once..........and it was not needed since my blood pressure was usually higher than usual and my blood flow was decent......

What could this be? Did the stent collapse? Doctor never mentioned this or anything else.
