new Dentures bad dentures?

I had all my teeth extracted and have been given dentures. So far 3 weeks have passed and although there is much less pain, the dentures do not fit me well. I visited the dentist a week ago to get the dentures relined but soon after a couple of days they were loose again. The upper denture is fine and holds. Unfortunately, the lower denture does not hold. The dentist told me to get back to him in 6 months? WHY SUCH A LONG WAIT? I will not be able to eat for the next 6 months as well?

Also the upper denture, although it fits, it's not aesthetically pleasing. It looks as if it protrudes through the lip, is this normal?

Ok well the thing is dentures are very hard to get used to! the bottom ones are the worst as they can move alot and take alot of getting used to more so then the upper.

Upper dentures can make the mouth look fuller there is not much you can do about it excpet get new ones with different shaped teeth.

The gums need time to adjust and heal so the moving may stop after a few weeks although if it doesnt you need to see somebody about it.

There are gels you can place in your denture for better suction , but as i said before bottom dentures are very difficult to wear.
