I bought a modem on ebay and its not working on my computer. I have verizon and the modem I bought is "locked" to bellsouth. The modem I purhcased was from florida. Is there anyway to make it work on Verizon? It is a westel 6100.

As long as you can reset the modem and upload the verizon profile, then yes.

Configure your modem from the following link:

Here are the complete directions on how to get your Westel 6100 to work with Verizon ISP

you'll have to call Verizon and give them the serial number and MAC address of the modem, them they can provision it for you IF it will work on their system. Any 'new' equipment added to your network needs to be provisioned by Verizon before it will work/connect on their network.

Ye, call verizon. That's the best thing to do.

You paid for it, might as well make them work.
