If you apply to university and get in..can you take a year off and return without applying again to start?

Pretty much I'm asking is the acceptance only good for that year..or can you come back..and start without re-applying.

It varies from school to school. Some will honor an admission for up to one year (often requiring you request a deferment in writing); others require that you complete a new application only; others require you submit a full application packet (application and fees, transcripts, scores, essay, etc.)

Contact the university to ask about their "deferment" policy.
