1 and a half year old cat help?

so this sounds weird but i want to teach him to turn off a light. he is a very smart cat and is very clever. how should i start to getting him on his way? what are training technics? i trained him to use the litter box by using repitition of moving his stuff to th box until he got the message.

    This is going to be tricky, but it can be done with a lot of hard work. Cats will learn things through repetition. Take the cat up to the light switch and have something close to that height so he can reach it. Then take his paw and use the smallest amount of syllables as possible... for instance "light off" Keep saying that and continue to push his paw on the light switch. It will take time, but with determination, and constant trying, he could get it.
