question about plasma tv?

I just got a new plasma and now im hearing about a break in time. What is this? How do I do this? And do I really need to do this? Any help would be great thanks.

    A Plasma typically needs about a 100 hours with the tv on and running. It usually takes this long before you will see the best picture quality your tv can deliver.

    Not necessary with the newer models.!! The old 'burn in' problem has been addressed with new technology involving orbiting and pixel shifting.
