If i take the pre-med route in college?

but then decide that i dont want to go to med school anymore, what can i do with my studies in the sciences? What kind of jobs can i have, or where do i go from there? I need major help with this, thanks.

    Keep in mind that you don't have to major in the sciences to apply to med school, you just have to take the premed classes along with whatever major you choose. If you think there's a chance you might decide not to go to med school (or might not get in) then pick a major you can use otherwise, for something other than another professional or grad program.

    This is why you should choose a Major leading to a good fallback career if you don't get selected for Medical School. Chemical Engineering or Bioprocess Engineering are good choices. Biology is not...

    Dental school, optometry school, pharmacy school, a Ph.D. in a biological or chemical subject where there is a growing demand for research Ph.D.s, and high school teaching in the sciences are all options.

    Perhaps medical school looks better at this point now?
