Would this be appropriate for a Semi-Formal High School Dance?
It's homecoming at my school next weekend.... I've never been to a dance before.
I'm planning to wear a silky knee-length red dress and some black flats. Is that considered semi-formal? I would wear heels but I really don't like them....
Also it is pretty cold here (plus the dance is at night) so would it be weird to wear plain black gloves and a scarf?

Sounds really nice. I'd wear that for a dance. And ya, I don't blame you about the shoes. Have fun.

i might decide for it as long as that is not trampy or no longer something like that. I artwork in a school equipment in a extensive city I hate that fogeys enable daughters to placed on clothing for a dance or a promenade finding as though they seem to be a hooker or approximately to to a pole dance. I useful your gown a inch until now the knee would be advantageous even for an semi formal.
