question about a citation?

well earlier today i got into accident, i rear ended the back of a car, and was issued a citation for Assured clear distance ahead, and have to appear in court and pay a fine. i wanted to know does anyone know how much this fine will be that i have to pay?

    The automobile liability act, requires all parties, in all 50 states, to have a current insurance policy, or to post a bond, in the amount of liability required by your state statutes.

    Your appearance will be to ascertain who(m) is liable to who(m) fo what amounts.

    The court appearance is basically to prove you have insurance and the damages are being taken care of. It is a moving violation but probably less than $100 fine with court costs added in.
