Is Brett Favre the most hated NFL player?
I'm so tired of hearing about Brett Favre, and how he's performing this season, Favre should have retired after the 2007 season, The reason Brett Favre came out of retirement, so he can be the greatest quarterback of all-time, and he also thinks he better than anyone else.

Apparently he is the most hated by you. Packer fans probably hate him too, but outside of Wisconsin, nah, he's not even remotely close.
Hate is a really strong word and he really hasn't committed the sort of offence that would cause most normal, rational, non-cheesehead people to "hate" him. He's never murdered anyone (Ray Lewis), gotten drunk and killed someone (Stallworth and Leonard Little), run a betting ring, slaughtered animals and then lied about it to his employers, his fans, his commissioner, the police and a number of judges (Vick), dealt drugs (Jamal Lewis), assaulted a stripper and threatened to murder a security guard (Pacman) or assaulted and threatened a police officer (Tank Johnson).
What's sick is that Packer fans are more angry at Favre (who did give them first opportunity to sign him when he came back) than they are at Randall Woodfield. "Who?" you may ask. Randall Woodfield was a Heisman contenderdrafted by the Packers in 1974 but unfortunately his career failed to blossom when he was convicted of 6 murders as the I-5 killer and is believed to have murdered a total of over 60 people.
If Brett Favre were actually the most hated man in the NFL just for doing something he loves and which brings people excitement and pleasure, well that would be just completely effed up.

He shouldn't be. I want fans to put their selves into his shoes. Retiring from doing something you love is extremely hard. It's walking away from the living dream. Most current retired players had a tough time just getting the words out saying their career is over. Favre is just one of the few that believes he can still do it emotionally and physically, and he's shown that he can. He might have struggled down the stretch last year, but he could achieve his dream of winning one more Super Bowl. That's all he wants. What's the hurt in that? And you can't say that you didn't enjoy the up and down stories of Favre coming back and Favre retiring the past 2 years. I've been entertained.

I've actually been a Favre defender for the past few years (as well as a Vikings fan). But I've officially stopped defending him this year. I've lost almost all of my respect for him as a player and a lot of my respect for him as a human being. Favre hasn't proved anyone wrong this season. His play has been erratic and detrimental to the team I love. I want nothing more than to see him leave the game. It is best for the Vikings at this point if he doesn't play.

No, favre is the most beloved player of all-time. He just isn't politically correct, so the media tries to demonize him. It works on retards.
Favre freaking saved the NFL about 15 years ago. He is the embodiment of what football once was and sadly no longer is.
How can you hate a 40 year old guy playing with bad injuries who runs 40 yards downfield to take on Patrick Willis?

I would say Tom Brady or maybe i just hate him so much i am blind to everyone else. I really don't blame Farve for coming back to be the best of all time . Stats that is. If i could still play into my 40's i would but how he has done it i wouldn't.

For me, it's Tom Brady. Hands down. After that b.s. call he drew against the Ravens yesterday, he shot to the top. Lord forbid anyone ever gets a finger on Mr. Brady, he's gonna get the call every time.

shut the f*ck up. what if everyone told you that the one thing you love most, you cant do ever again. how would you feel. i love brett for that. i have thought of giving up on so many things, but i don't. he is a good example of showing that if you love something that much, then you should do it. i have seen so many people not do something including me because others say you shouldn't or that you don't want to take risks. he is a good example that you should do it because you think its right.

Patrick Willis helped him up when he was sacked...PATRICK WILLIS.
That shows how much respect everyone has the for the guy, but yes, Brett Favre is hated by most Packers' fans now, and I don't blame them. That franchise made him famous, and he betrayed them and joined their rival team.

Come to Wisconsin and you will find just about 90% of the population that truely hates him for a number of reasons.
1. He's a traitor he went to the enemy and he will never be forgiven for that.
2. Also most of us are sick of him doing the whole retire not-retire thing. It's getting very old.
3. He was with us for 17 seasons and then just leaves and 2 seasons later goes the Viqueens. You have to either be really high or very stupid to do that.
Overall though I wish him the best of luck in Minnesota (God knows he'll need it) and I hope he has fun staring at the empty trophy case of theirs.
