It's not weird, but it's definitely unusual. If you think it will make you feel better and your friends feels comfortable with it, then you should take it - it's a really cute way to remember your kitten. I think you should be prepared that the other kids on your lunch table are likely to ask questions though, because it will seem unusual to them that you have a photo and that you're saying a prayer, especially if your school isn't very religious. If you think you'll feel comfortable explaining to them why you have the photo and what happened to your kitten, then it'll be fine, but if you think it will upset you then you might want to reconsider. :]
