Evaluate |5|. How does this differ from Evaluate 5! ?

What is the answer to this problem? I know the vertical lines mean absolute value and that Evaluate 5! = 5x4x3x2x1.

Is evaluate |5| simply asking me the value of the 5 in this case, which would be 5?

If this is the case would Evaluate evaluate |-5| also be 5?

Properly, absolute value means the distance from the number to zero on a number line

The absolute value of a number is always the positive version. So absolute value of 5 and -5 are both 5. 5 factorial is very different, mainly use in statistics.
