why worship the virgin Mary?
Okay I know she was the chosen woman to bare the child of God. I understand that, but she's still human. Why do people pray to her? She had more children after Jesus. So that means after she had him, she wasn't a virgin any more. So why do people still call her the virgin Mary?

Catholics would say that they don't worship Mary, they venerate her like they venerate the Saints and pray to them to intercede for them before God.
I say it's a semantic game - worship and venerate overlap so much there is not much difference, if any. Catholics and others clearly engage in "adoring reverence" for Mary and the Saints.
Historically, this "veneration" of Mary and the Saints provided easy transitional elements to move polytheistic cultures to a Christian one by providing elements missing (for them) in the early church - a powerful maternal goddess and a multitude of lesser gods.
This not only worked in Europe, but also in the forced Christianization of the Americas.

Question: "Did Jesus have brothers and sisters (siblings)?"
Answer: Jesus’ brothers are mentioned in several Bible verses. Matthew 12:46, Luke 8:19, and Mark 3:31 say that Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see Him. The Bible tells us that Jesus had four brothers: James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas (Matthew 13:55). The Bible also tells us that Jesus had sisters, but they are not named or numbered (Matthew 13:56). In John 7:1-10, His brothers go on to the festival while Jesus stays behind. In Acts 1:14, His brothers and mother are described as praying with the disciples. Galatians 1:19 mentions that James was Jesus’ brother. The most natural conclusion of these passages is to interpret that Jesus had actual blood half-siblings.

No we do NOT worship the Blessed Virgin Mary. We honour her because she is the Mother Of Our Lord & God.
Do Muslims worship Muhammad? Do Jews worship Abraham or Moses?
And no, she did not have any more children after Christ. The "brothers & sisters" that are mentioned in the Gospels were His cousins.

Mary and St. Joseph were both lifelong virgins. The "brothers" of Jesus mentioned in the Bible are actually cousins. Much is lost in translations.
The Catholic Church defines three degrees of honor:
Dulia: The honor given to saints and angels.
Hyperdulia: The honor given to Mary as Mother of God and our greatest saint.
Latria: The honor above all of creation, i.e. the WORSHIP reserved for GOD ALONE.
God bless!

Constantine forced so called Christianity on the Roman Empire around 300 A.D. All this did was force the pagans to convert their gods and symbols over to Christian appearing deities. The Ancient Babylonian knew Mary as Seremis and her son as Baal. The Egyptians called her Isis and her son was named Horus.
Jesus warned us in the gospel to not exalt any human being or call another man Father or Rabbi. Also, he said, "I am the way the truth and the light, no man come unto the Father, except through me". He didn't say anything about Mary being an intermediate between us and God. The bible warns about idol worship. We were instructed to not bow down and worship any idols or images built by human hands. People especially Catholics are ignorant about scripture. Therefore, they will have to answer on the day of judgment.

No one worships the Virgin Mary.
If you are referring to Catholics, they do not worship her. They honour and revere her, not worship.
Who told you she had more children after Jesus? That is not what the Church that Jesus founded teaches. And this is the only Church with the God-given authority to teach on such matters.

I think it's mostly a catholic thing. I don't believe in it either. She is human and no where in the Bible does it say she communicates our prayers to God or anything like that. I have no doubt that she herself disaproves of the adoration she is shown.
