Why don't companies focus on high speed wireless rather fiber?

why don't companies work on better internet services of

Wireless internet....

placing an unite on already built cellular allows which total in the millions across the nation.

the access to countless more customers that would use these services over ,the typical satellite internet and dial up..in the country sides

an ease of upgrading the broadcasting unite of internet

The advances in wireless technologies

with services like freedomnet

http://www.fnw.us/

possible grants reward ,by sections of the government, for improving American's lifes

3g is like high speed...and with

4g on the way

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4G

and given 4-6g internet....the quality of services are bound to get better....

----over----

underground fiber cable

with the cost to

bury

pay for material

ship the material to the job site

to pay for all equipment and their up keep

to pay for the somewhat lazy workers...in which they stand around dicking around while one or two works...

the cost to repair entire sections of fiber...is someone ruptures the fiber,as you can splice and repair an small section

the time to place cable, and install relay sections for the data traveling thru the fiber....

Oh I currently have freedomnet ...and its far better then dial up and satellite internet..

Wifi would have too many people on at the same time, sharing the same frequencies. That would reduce performance drastically. Wireless shares everything with everyone, and there's just not that many frequencies allocated to wifi to allow "everyone" on at the same time.

Fiber has higher bandwidth, is immune to any interference or hacking. That's why it's used to backbone major networks. As for home use, most effective is to use existing connections to homes, like cable, DSL or the proposed BPL (broadband over power lines - probably won't work well anyway)

The cell phone companies have more bandwidth than regular Wifi, but being companies, they want to make a profit. That, along with overloading the cell network gives reasons why that will be slow to expand to everyone - it would cost too much. Also, they have limited frequencies to work with too...

Actually there a few years ago there were a number of cities that announced plans to wifi the city. They probably would have needed a fiber cable to implement something that big. To date I don't think any of them could figure out how to finance it and I don't think any such network ever went up.

severe velocity internet comprises you in 2 flavors, DSL and cable. From there, you will choose a instant router. The router manages all the desktops connecting to it, and that all of them share that top velocity connection. with a view to connect with that router, your notebook would choose a instant adapter. This instant adapter enables you to connect with that router, or different instant routers which incorporate a wireless hotspot at Starbucks, McDonalds, and so on. A dialup card is a card the place you plug a telephone line into your notebook, and your popular telephone line. the fee is plenty slower. wish that enables.
