Is there any chance the Knicks make the playoffs?

Or should I just start stocking up on #1 overall pick hail mary's?

Not really feeling the resigning of Nate Robinson, don't care for D'Antoni's no-defense/hope-to-score-100-points system.

I hate to say this because I am from New york and that will always be my team but I don't think they will make the playoffs.

Mike D'antoni is a great coach and his system can have great success but he just doesn't have the players he had in phoenix to make a push for the playoffs. Even with his no defense system, back with the suns he had good individual defenders in Bell and Marion, something he doesn't have on this current knicks team.

Boston, Cleveland, and Orlando are the big three in the east. The Hawks are a team that gradually gets a talent boost every year because of their youth and they also got Crawford. The Wizards made improvements and also got key player back in Arenas, Haywood and Stevenson. The pistons and Raptors got deeper with trades and player signing and the Heat still have a young roster with talent and Wade.

Those 8 teams I mentioned are better than the Knicks and maybe even two more teams are better in the east. They will not make the playoffs but I hope one day they will.

At this second, it might have got to be the Knicks. They're gambling the fine ball as of proper now however Cleveland has performed exceptionally the feedback approximately them being a backside cellar workforce within the East. Cleveland has a number of position avid gamers, and not using a celebrity and even an all celebrity no wherein close their roster however they are good coached via Byron Scott. They went from being a one guy offense to an overly various, up-pace, offense with distinctive avid gamers stepping up on any given night time. I quite suppose if Lebron had stayed, the offense might had been so much larger (Scott might have them at the holiday plenty as an alternative than the entire part court docket units they ran with Mike Brown). Even with the Hornets, Scott grew to become them right into a satisfactory workforce, of path they'd Chris Paul, however did not have as so much proficiency. It's unlucky Lebron made up our minds to go away, but when Cleveland might alternate for a few wing support, i might see them sneaking into the playoffs as a seventh or eighth seed. Mo Williams is their certain scorer and Varejao supplies the hustle and center on security. As he has performed numerous instances earlier than, Jaminson supplies the bench scoring (as does Daniel Gibson). They nonetheless want an extra participant who can get his possess shot, however they've a few portions to paintings with if they are able to land a celeb someday within the close long run (both by way of the draft when you consider that they got a number of alternatives in trade for lebron or by way of loose company). Now, the Knicks have the larger hazard to make the playoffs however they've a few holes as good. They desire a protective minded core to play along Amare, when you consider that they are getting killed within the paint on a nightly groundwork. Turiaf isn't the reply and the russian man they introduced over is not both. If he can keep healthful, Amare has demonstrated to be a priceless addition to their rebuilding approach. He's their within scorer and opens it up for his or her shooters (they want extra shooters btw, Gallanari is not sufficient and the others like Mason do not get sufficient gambling time). Felton has been satisfactory for them. I often listen Knick fanatics wishing they'd anybody like Chris Paul or Nash however have got to comprehend that having an elite pg does not warranty you a championship. You don't want a celebrity on the factor, and Felton is forged sufficient to preserve that role down for the long run. I like Fields, however he should not be opening. He's a satisfactory position participant but when the Knicks are aiming for a championship, they must get an elite 2 safeguard or a wing. Shannon Brown might had been a quality alternative if he did not return to the Lakers. They're are rumors pronouncing the Knicks might be within the Melo sweepstakes and if it is actual, the Knicks will change into a harmful workforce. The workforce is already explosive at the offensive finish and including a participant like Melo will shift Amare to his normal # two position. I comprehend security wins championships and the Knicks will have got to upload portions who can support them on that finish however must expand a center first. Having Amare and Melo will likely be a satisfactory center to start with. Then from there, you'll be able to upload position avid gamers who have compatibility the workforce, and the Knicks might be contending in a few years in the event that they play their playing cards proper. That used to be somewhat off tangent, however to reply the query, the Knicks as of proper now have the fine hazard to make the playoffs.

Good coach, but still too many selfish/bad players that cant win. They need a veteran with a good attitude and some talent (like J Kidd+ LeBron). So this year, no they dont have a chance
