Why doesn't yahoo tell you why one of your questions was deleted? Shouldn't you be able to refute it?
One of my questions was deleted from yahoo answers and there was nothing wrong with it.

The "report" goes out directly from the person who reported you. It is not reviewed by Yahoo. At one time, the Violation Notice included the "reason" which the reporter had written in the "Additional Details" of his report. You would get an explanation.
Then some reporter started writing nonsense. One person wrote PEANUT BUTTER as the "reason". When you got the Violation Notice it said that you had been reported for "Peanut Butter".
So Yahoo decided to only send the report with no reasons.
One of the things you can do is to click on FORUM at the left side of the Y!A Home Page. Post your question on the Forum and ask the community to help you write an appeal that will win. They always help. When you win, you get your question re-instated and all points returned. The person who reported you gets demoted. Next time they won't be able to delete as fast.

If you read the community guidelines, take the quiz you can figure out which one you violated.
No reason is given since the two who reported your question did not make a note in the comment box. This process is automated and Yahoo Staff never looks at your question or answer till you appeal.

They didn't give a reason for the deletion in their violation notice?
I've gotten a couple of those as well. it's pointless to refute them honestly. i've only ever had one question and 2 answers that i pushed to get my points back for. I did get them back, but it was a pain in the butt and took almost 3 weeks.
i dont think they should be able to delete you answer or question with out CLEARLY defining a reason in their violation emails, but i still get the odd violation with NOTHING listed as a reason.
it's crap.
