Not sore after my workout...am I doing something wrong?

Last week I was so sore I could barely walk after doing this workout video. Now after doing the workout, the next day, I am not as sore. I added some other videos too...but I am really trying to build muscle in my booty. So I've been doing lunges, squats. Also doing abs videos. What should I do if I am not feeling sore anymore? And how long for results? Thanks!

The first time you are doing a new workout its like a shock to your body to you will feel a bit sore. Over time you're body will adjust to the exercises- you won't always feel sore. Keeping this in mind you want to make sure you change up your routine every couple of weeks so that your body doesn't get used to it. Abs is the one muscle you can work out all the time without rest but you want to make sure you change it up. It's not just abs you can't get great abs without working your core. So concentrate on making your core stronger with those ab workouts and you'll get the abs you want. If you look at a swimmers body the ones that have those 6 pack abs you'll notice they have a strong core all the way around. You can't have those abs and a sloppy back.

Your body is used to the workout by now. Try adding some weights to your routine or try and target for more reps. Just because your body is not sore does not mean your not getting a good workout. Maintain a diary and keep a track of your workout (Reps/Weight).

Well If your not feeling sore your not tearing up the muscle and re-building it.

I suggest you slow the exercise right down in controlled movements. Example count 5 on the way down and 3 on the way up.

You will find it is much harder, and it grinds the muscle fibres against each other causing more trauma.

This occurs to me as good, in the beginning. However almost always five hours later I end up totally sore. It takes time. If you retain lifting till you truthfully believe sore proper then and there, five hours from then you're no longer even going to be ready to transport your hands.

Your muscles are getting used to it. Try some different variations and try holding some weights while your doing the workouts if your not already.

not being sore doesnt necessarily mean that u didnt get a good work out. You were sore at first cause your body just wasnt used to it.
