ok we are doing Dimensional Analysis
here is ther question:
If a bird flies 0.7 decimeter every tenth of a second, how fast in meters per second does it fly?

Set up a ratio:
0.7d/0.1s
vs.
m/s
d=0.1m
Therefore
0.7(0.1m)/0.1s
vs.
m/s
=0.07m/0.1s
To get the denominator to equal s, multiply the fraction by 10/10
0.07m/0.1s x 10/10
=0.7m/s
Therefore, the bird flies 0.7m per second.

0.7 meters per second since 0.7 times 10 = 7 decimeters per seconds and 1 decimeter is 1/10 of a meter - so, 0.7.
