Can I replace my internal Fuel Pump with and Inline Fuel pump?

As long as you can keep the correct fuel pressure you could. You will have to check the block on the right side front to see if there is a cover that will allow for a mechanical fuel pump. The only problem would be you would lose your fuel gauge reading unless you replace the sending unit or rig it so the pump doesn't run. A better way would be to check with Jeggs for an aftermarket tank and pump.

I have a 94 chev 1500. I drop the tank from the bottom of the vehicle and take the tank out and change the pump, It usually costs a little over $150. What are you doing that I should be doing. It seems like it hard enough pulling it out from underneath, but I sure wouldn't take the bed off.
