Canada's Identity Suffers on National Stage?

Forbes recently released a new survey of the most "well-liked" countries in the world, and Americans will be happy to know that USA moved up six spots to the top of the list. Congratulations to our neighbours to the south!

Unfortunately, as a result of USA's success (and in part our own failures), Canada has dropped three spots out of the top five to #7.

My questions are:

- Do you think this will affect Canada's tourist trade in any way?

- What are some ways you think we could improve our identity and make ourselves better known internationally?

    No, it won't affect anything.

The vast majority of tourists to Canada are Americans travelling here for vacations.

Not well liked? The world knows nothing about us, therefore, they can't possibly "like" or "dislike" us, they simply know we are there and we don't seem to cause much of a fuss.

Popularity contests aren't usually meaningful or useful except to the person/country/ethnic group concerned.

Remember the drama queens in high school?

Perhaps it would help if we had a Prime Minister who had more international experience.
