  • My feelings are hurt. Am I being unreasonable?

My girlfriend is spending a lot less time with me. I don't harp on it too much because she goes to school and works. But She's been really lately at even initiating texts. To summarize concisely, I've noticed the following:

    1) when she does text a lot of is what I call empty compliments. Instead of meaningful dialogue it's just 'you're so awesome'. It's kind of annoying.

2). She'll say things like 'maybe tomorrow'. But when tomorrow comes she's busy.

3). She's spent the last week being busy writing her speech... That's more speech writing than I could possibly imagine.

4). She hasn't initiated any plans in two weeks, and the only times she has is if I say I miss her.

Tonight, however, I felt hurt. I opened up to her about how I feel like I'm the only ken lately putting in an effort. So tonight she went to a house party, and then texted me drunk saying it was a great time and that she was dancing with guys and it was great.

I feel hurt by this. Like she doesn't care and is keeping me around. She says she wants to keep me around and she warns this to go somewhere, but these actions are convincing me. Otherwise. Should I just dump her? Am I justified in being hurt?

  • I'm jealous and upset.... Am I just being dumb?

My gf has been more and more unavailable the last couple weeks. This is understandable given she has school and work so I try not to harp on it too much.

A couple days who she bailed on me and I got upset and told her I felt like I was putting more into it. She said she wants to be with me and she never wants to lose me, and that she misses me.

But then, tonight she went to this party and texted me 'I had such a fun time. I love dancing, but don't worry I keep it clean'

Am I being a stupid ugh for being jealous and upset? I haven't said anything to her, but I feel like I'm just not a priority. If I was, she'd make time for me but she's not. I'm considering breaking up with her. Ladies... What do you think?

  • What are Russian Feelings towards Germany?

Just curious. The two nations have such a long and complicated history.. inevitably mutual feelings of some kind will arise from that relationship. Are there common stereotypes of Germans in Russia? Or since the war, has there been a general feeling of consolation? I'm not European but am very interested in European history and politics.

  • Are Atheists shunned in America?

I'm a Canadian guy that is currently dating a woman from Texas. She mentioned how it's a bit more religious down there, which I kind of suspected from Texas. But what got me is the perceived mistrust or even open antagonism towards atheists.

Up here it's not really a big deal. It's usually frowned upon to talk about religion in public, and it is an absolute sin in politics. Atheism is very common here, it's not very religious.

Is it the opposite down there? Are atheists shunned? Or is this maybe just a Texas/southern thing?

  • Why is America more religious than other western countries?

Call me an ignorant Canadian. I'm currently dating a woman from Texas, and the conversation came up. I then looked at a few articles and documentaries discussing how there is a huge disdain for atheists in America.

I had no idea! I ignorantly assumed religion in America was like religion here... not discussed, a sin to even mention it in politics. I came across a few stats indicating that Americans in general are much more religious than Brits, French, Germans, Canadians, etc.

This intrigues me because of the relative parity of these countries in terms of education and standard of living. Why is America so religious in comparison to other western countries?

  • Milk in a bag?

I am a Canadian from Alberta.

I travel to the US a lot and there's this stereotype that milk comes in bags. I've never once heard of that. I've never seen that before. Is this something that other parts of the country do? I've never seen this in BC before, but I haven't traveled much out east to Ontario or Quebec.

Or is milk in a bag like a cheaper knock off? It just seems silly to me.... doesn't a carton make more sense?

  • How is poutine not popular fast food in the US?

Just a curious Canadian on here asking Americans why poutine isn't popular down there?

For those of you who are unfamiliar with what it is, poutine is a dish of french fries covered with brown gravy and cheese curds.

Now, I get some foods just don't fit with some nationalities. I also get the health thing... this dish is a heart attack on a plate. But, so many other fast foods are popular in the US that are equally or more unhealthy...I just don't get it.

    Any ideas?

  • Would you be insulted if your significant other said this?

I've been exclusive with this girl over a month now. It's new, but I really like her and she says she really likes me.

There are two things she said that insulted me to the point where I'm actually questioning whether I want to be with her.

    1) After a lame political debate (I'm not heavy into this, she brought it up), she said "It's a good thing you'll never meet my father". She also said something similar along those lines about meeting her sister.

    2) We went to dinner with her boss, and she brought up the fact that she does not refer to me as her boyfriend, and she gets made fun of for it.

I am insulted because I want my woman to be proud of who she is with. By her saying things like that, I'm getting the impression she simply doesn't take it as seriously as I do.

Am I just making a big deal out of nothing? Should I talk to her about this?

  • Ladies, Should I Dump Her?

I'll summarize this as concise as I can. I've ben dating this girl a month. I'm noticing the following red flags:

    1) She texts a lot less, makes fewer plans.

    2) She is kind of snippy with me lately, almost like she's looking for an argument. I know girls usually do this to test guys but it's terribly immature and annoying.

    3) She said the following after a political debate: "It's a good thing you will never meet my father".

    4) I went out do dinner with her last night for her business and she said "I haven't referred to you as my boyfriend to my boss, so he makes fun of me for that".

Those to me are HUGE red flags. I want a woman that's proud to be with me, that likes me as much as I like her. I was ready to dump her last night because I was very insulted by that. I then approached her and said "I'm getting some signs that you are becoming disinterested".

Since that, she's texted me every morning, she's re-assured me she's very interested, she's invited me to her cousin's birthday and wedding, and has made a secret date for me Aug. 7.

I have no idea what her deal is. She's giving me very mixed signals.

So, ladies... should I dump her and avoid future heartbreak? Have a talk with her about it? Or just go along with it? What is she thinking?

  • Why is she backing away?

I recently started dating this amazing woman. We hit it off so well and we are very intimate. We went on a small trip this weekend and I'm noticing the following:

    - she texts me way less now! She used to text me lots everyday and now there's a very notable decline.

    - she is less flirtatious. She used to be very sexually provocative and now she's not at all.

    - she never asks to see me. She's busy too so I get that, but before she used to want to see me every day if only for an hour or two.

This all sounds to me like she's losing interest. But... Every morning she still texts me saying stuff like "I can't get you out of my head!" And things like that. To me, this is very much a mixed message.

I'm giving her space and am reciprocating the same amount of effort she's giving. I don't want to come across as clingy. But... Should I bail before I get hurt?

  • Ladies..Has She Lost Interest?

I just started dating a girl. In the past I have laid it all out too quickly and it has resulted in women leaving. So over the past couple of years I've really worked on toning it down... with some pretty good success.

Well this girl and I recently made things official. I am crazy about her. She usually talks my ear off all day.

Well over the last couple days she's been distant. Like doesn't initiate conversation or anything like she used to. She did, however, invite me to a wedding with her in late August; and when she does text me she says things like "you're all I'm going to be thinking about today!".

Yet... she doesn't really initiate conversations anymore. This is sending me mixed messages. On the one hand she's making long termed plans with me and telling me how much she likes me. On the other hand she's giving me hidden messages (like women always do) that she's losing interest.

  • Very Embarrassing Issue with my GF?

This is incredibly embarrassing but I figure I know none of you so maybe you can provide some unbiased advice.

I recently got a new girlfriend who is just the world to me. I am so attracted to her, I love everything about her, she really is an amazing woman. BUT, I tried to have sex with her twice already and could not get in the mood!!

I don't think I have ED problems... without getting into too much detail, I get one every morning and when I think about her I get one. But for some reason, when I tried to do it with her... nothing. I have no idea why.

I feel like this has already created an issue. I felt INCREDIBLY embarrassed about it. I brought it up, and she hasn't really responded much about it. She tells me she's not going anywhere, but I'm thinking of backing away already because I'm scared I'll be devastated if she leaves me over this.

What's going on? Is this my libido? I'm 30 years old, I stay active, I eat healthy... I've never had an issue like this before. It's got to the point where I'm nervous to even talk to her I feel so terrible and embarrassed

  • Embarrassing issue?

I started dating this girl. The sexual tension was sooo high and then... The last two times I've tried to sleep with her it's like my libido is shot. This has never been an issue before, but now it's like I have this added pressure and I just can't get turned on.

I feel terrible and very embarrassed. I feel like this has divided us a bit. I tried talking to her last night about it but she just says quiet. I feel like I made her feel unattractive or something and it sucks because I find her soooo attractive! I feel like now I might get hurt because she may bail on me because of this, so I'm almost thinking of backing away.

I'm only 30 years old, I'm in good health... I just don't understand it. I really don't want this to ruin my relationship. What should I do?

  • Why does this happen to me during sex?

It's like, whenever I first have sex with a girl I really like, I always have a hard time staying in the mood. It only happens the first time... the second time it goes away and I'm all in. It also only happens with girls I really like, I have no problem at all with girls I don't like and just want sex from. It's so bizarre because this happens time and time again, and I truly have no idea why. You'd think it would be opposite, but it's not...

  • I'm having a hard time opening up to this girl?

I met someone just incredible. She really likes me too, she constantly talks to me, alludes that she wants sex from me, is very supportive. She even gives me food at work, and tells me she misses me when I'm not around.

She is everything I want in a woman. She's smart, really ambitious, she's got this cute accent (she's Texan, I'm from Canada), she's very strong willed... Insanely good looking. She's confident and isn't afraid to say what she feels... Which brings me to my next point.

For whatever reason, even though I feel this way, I can't bring myself to open up to her to tell her how I feel. It's like subconsciously I really do think she's out of my league. I'm unstable career wise right now, and I don't want to drag her down. Plus I've been burned too many times to count when I've expressed my emotions towards women. I've had most success when I've kept them hidden and played it cool.

This is just eating at me because I can honestly say I may be in love with this one. This may be an odd question, but how does one work on opening up?

  • Why does my minimum montly payment go up so much every month?

I got into some very serious credit card debt this year at school. Like over $10,000 serious.

I've since got a good job and have been paying $2000 a month towards it. Right now I'm down to about $5500.

The thing is, my minimum monthly payment is actually higher now than what it was at $10,000. It makes no sense to me whatsoever. How can this happen when I've already paid half the principal? Not that it matters too much because I'm going to keep paying $2000 a month until it's all gone, but it's beginning to really bother me.
