Milk in a bag?
I am a Canadian from Alberta.
I travel to the US a lot and there's this stereotype that milk comes in bags. I've never once heard of that. I've never seen that before. Is this something that other parts of the country do? I've never seen this in BC before, but I haven't traveled much out east to Ontario or Quebec.
Or is milk in a bag like a cheaper knock off? It just seems silly to me.... doesn't a carton make more sense?

Its very common here in Eastern Ontario where I live. It's just a litre of loose milk in a sealed plastic bag. Its exactly what this video shows.

I can barely remember the old jug milk days but I find the bags more convenient. The holders are only about a dollar or two and last forever and I have never had a bag leak. Also, who wants to lift a huge jug of milk especially kids? I think you would have more spills. I have one of those little magnetic snippers, that I keep on the side of my fridge it makes the perfect cut every time.
You can still buy one and two litre cartons by the way but it is more economical to buy the milk in bags if you go through a lot of it. Buying in the carton is more expensive.
There is no such thing as knock off milk, it's all milk just a more convenient way of storing it.

It's very common here in Quebec but you can only buy packages of three one litre bags. I bought it like that when my kids were at home and we could easily use three litres.. Unopened bags can lie flat in the fridge and take up very little room. I've never had a bag break for no reason. Cartons and bottles make a mess too if you drop them hard enough My grocery store also stocks milk in cardboard cartons and plastic jugs. I haven't seen a glass bottle for years.

I live in Ontario and i've never seen milk come in anything other than bags, that's all i've known in Ontario, I don't think I could even get used to a jug of milk, with the bag its so easy to pour milk into your cereal when the bag is in the pitcher of course.

School children near me have to deal with little plastic bags instead of cartons now. And I'm in Southern California. Other than in grammar school, I don't see it in bags; only cartons and plastic jugs.
I think "we" switched from the small cartons because of something to do with packaging or the cost to buy stock for every school in the area or some such nonsense. Even though these things are awkward to stack in a cold fridge, they are less packaging overall and they are still 6 ounces and are plain milk or chocolate milk or strawberry milk.

We used to be able to buy milk like that here in Michigan, but I haven't seen it in 25 years or so. The idea was that it was cheaper, because the container didn't cost as much. You had to buy a particular pitcher to put the bag in, but it was cheaper overall. But it didn't last long, at least here, because some of the bags leaked. I had some groceries in the back seat of my car, and a half gallon bag leaked and soaked the car seat and carpet. I cleaned it as best as I could, but when spring came, it really stunk!

Milk has come in 1 litre plastic bags for years in Canada. It has been around for about 45 years.
Some places use them more than others. They were test marketed across the country. In Quart sized bags, When it switched to litres many areas discontinued. Had to buy a new holder.

It's common in Ontario. The bags are pretty durable and you need to work at puncturing them. I haven't had a leaking bag in nearly 6 years.

The bags are quite common here in Quebec, and over in Ontario. Not sure about the rest of the country.

In fact, the big stink out east now is that the Dairy Farmers of Ontario are upset that the government wants to allow 3L jugs, as they are worried it may make the 4L bags obsolete. Not sure why. If a family needs 4L of milk, they will just buy 4L.

Why do they have to kill someone from the good camp, I don't want that and I wouldn't like that. If they want to kill some of the good guys I think Steph has a point Zoe they are not going to kill
Coop. I don't think that they are going to kill Prue or Cole because it would be very predictable and most people I think that they would expect this.
