I have to go on B12 injections?

How long after getting one should I expect to feel some improvement? Reasons are extreme tiredness, achy joints, leg twitches. T Y in advance

Update:

DK, I know the reason that my b12 is low, I know why I need it, I guess I did not word it as professionally as I could have. I was simply wondering how long before the symthoms got better. Because the "reasons" will not.

The "reasons" are not the tiredness, joint pain, and leg twitches--

Those are SYMPTOMS. What you should be asking your doctor is

    Symptoms of WHAT specifically.

Do you have anemia? If so, what's causing the anemia? Are you a vegetarian? Could you have G.I. bleeding? Polyps maybe? Is it a problem in you digestion, that you are not ABSORBING nutrients from your diet? Could you have something destroying your red blood cells? If so, what is it?

B-12 injections are simply treating the symptoms, not the source of the problem.

B-12 deficiency doesn't occur in a vacuum. We usually only need

very small amounts of B-12, which we get normally get from our diet, as meat eaters, and B-12 is essential for the production of functioning, oxygen-carrying red blood cells within our bone marrow.

Intake of excess B-12 also has a odd and interesting "lock out" effect. We can only fill the tank so far and then, whatever excess B-12 we take is simply creating a resistance to further absorption-----UNLESS, we are, somehow, somewhere along the line, physically LOSING or NOT PRODUCING the necessary number of red blood cells within the body.

The injections should help improve your symptoms rapidly, but that is

all they will do, relieve symptoms. You are still missing a cause.
