American women, I have a question for you about American men marrying foreign women?

NO...The truth is ..foreign women are more family oriented...more mellow..and after all more respectful and less of a gold diggers...family values are more important that being selfish and self centered...I;m European ..and my husband loves that and he is sooo proud of me ...that's just my opinion...ahhh and btw...he is very tall and handsome...not a looser at all

There are many sides to this question and I believe that if they are in love and have respect for each other, as a woman I don't have a problem with it. But everyone both men and women need to be careful that they aren't being conned into citizenship. Many make great wives or husbands, but some after 2 years can get a divorce and that leaves the American husband or wife with a broken heart. All I can say is be careful

I know many American Men married to Arab women because they hate American women, just to be disappointed because in the end, they are American and have American ways. People from other cultures are just that... people with behavior of that culture. I don't feel there is something wrong with married outside your race or culture, but if you do it for any other reason than sincerity, you will only get what you intended. Just a woman that's not American.

We like who we like or love, we get an idea in our head or hearts and go after it and we sometimes just make bad or wrong decisions. That being said we can also make the right decisions and good calls.

I seriously doubt that unattractive males feel that they can get a beautiful foreign woman any faster than they could an American. Even if this were the case they are not fit for any relationship because of their insecurities and low self esteem. For someone to beat them up over it (insult) and not recognize the issue is a bully and uneducated and lacking social grace.

I don't think that. And I would add, I do not care if a man wants a foreign wife. It does not affect me or my life at all. He has his reasons be they legitimate or not.

When the question is asked and American women are lumped together and denigrated and insulted as a group - then I know he is bitter and has been hurt and become jaded. I know it is 'sour grapes' and discount it for his problem. Still does not affect me or my life.

As for American women being selfish, high maintenance, and not family oriented, etc. - not true. It never works to lump people into one big generalized category. It is closed minded and prejudiced.

Of course that's not always the case. I'm sure it is in some cases (I have known some 'less desirable' men to seek foreign wives), but there are plenty of men who would have no trouble attracting American women who choose to marry non-Americans.

It's not an issue for me. People should date and/or marry whomever they are attracted to (who shares their interest).

Men that want to have submissive wives usually will go for Asian women. When you say foreign women I think you're targeting only a few nationalities and not all foreign women. There are women much more difficult then American women like Italians, French, Spanish, Portuguese women are very dramatic and demanding.

I think dominant males who don't want to deal with an equal eventually end up marrying a Filipino woman who'll never question him.

Absolutely not, many good looking men have married foreign women.

When one steps out of one's "box" and marries, those in the box object because the mindset is, if he or she marries outside their race, religion, culture, country that's one less man or woman for a fellow countryman/country woman to marry.

...and no, I don't believe the vast majority do it because they can't get a man or woman of their own country, race, etc to marry.

No, i think someone of these foreign ladies will do what american ladies won't. such as being submissive, and being a wife from way back when. barefoot and pregnant. cause you have to admit that,us american girls/ladies aren't that into that anymore. we want a life out side of the house.
