Stimulus Jobs, what is your reaction?
The Associated Press | Posted: Monday, October 12, 2009 11:00 am
ST. PAUL - Minnesota finance officials are reporting that federal stimulus dollars supported 11,800 jobs in the state through the end of September.
The state Management and Budget Department says state agencies spent more than $1.6 billion from the stimulus in that time.
Minnesota government is in line for $4.7 billion from the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, with another $4.2 billion worth of tax benefits going to state residents.
Those receiving stimulus dollars were required to report spending and job numbers to federal agencies on Saturday, for a period through the end of September. The next update is due in January.

It clearly states that it supported 11,800 jobs... But it did not say it created 1 new job..
The stimulus was a joke, we need private sector jobs, not more government bureaucrats.

What the government subsidizes it controls.
When those jobs disappear we will know who to blame.
meanwhile, the cost will be added to the national debt and your grand children will have the honor of paying the bill, plus interest.

The only jobs here are at the unemployment office. this plan can't last much longer. every 3rd house is empty and falling apart, the malls are all empty or closed. i think i will dress up for Halloween and try and get some food on the table !!!!!!!!

My state failed to complete the required paperwork for any projects. They got stimulus money, but it won't create any jobs. It actually won't do anything for us. Meanwhile unemployment is about 12.2%. Yes, my state is run by Liberal Democrats.
