Calling all racists/children of racist?

I am not racist, but I have many older family members who are/were. Both of my parents are not racist, but both sets of their parents were. That seemed to bring my parents together, their lack of racists thoughts. My family is german and irish. Most of them live in the countryside of the states. My father moved from WV to "the city" when he was 18 and my mother moved from TN to "the city" when she was 19 and they met soon after. They both had the same idea of moving away from te crap they heard from their families. Then they got married and had me & my sisters. So later on, when I married a puerto rican man and my sister married a chinese man, we sure were the gossip of the entire family for years. My grandparents believed that you can be friends with anyone, but only marry within your own race. This never made sense to me since living in the usa everyone is mixed race one way or the other, so I was confused by this. In the end, it seems like we are showing our family that you pick someone for WHO they are, not WHAT they are.

I am not racist. And I have no problems with others who have racial or cultural pride.

But people who are often have racist parents or family members...those who don't are only see negative things about a group of people or don't want to make an in-depth analysis over problems....

I am VERY Black and proud of it. I have friends from all over the planet and I have been to every continent on this Earth except Antartica. I have lived in most countries on Earth too. I speak different languages, have a wide variety of hobbies and am well educated.

Rachel it is just as ignorant to assume things about YOUR OWN PEOPLE as it is to assume thing about OTHER PEOPLE.

I am not racist......but, like anyone else, have been guilty of stereotyping. Knowing this makes me ultra aware of of my perceptions of people and keeps me on the right path, which is judging a person by their content of character.

If we are ever going to make a positive change in our society, we have to look into ourselves first......we all have something to work on (stereotyping, misconceptions, etc..) and being honest about it is the first step to freeing ourselves from the bonds of hatred and ignorance.

We are all the same species......no different than the common housecat, that all have different colors of fur. We don't see the orange cats banning together and attacking all of the gray cats now do we?

That's because they are the same species.....and they actually realize that. Sadly, some people are not as smart as the common housecat....

Hating and stereotyping and abusing a certain race of people out of evilness and having the power to do so is racist racism.

Yes, it's a conspiracy by the liberals to guilt white Americans into lying with Mexicans and expedite the formation of a North American union.

I've always thought that kids aren't racists, it's the parents that make kids racist.

I had all sorts of friends at school and I never realised their race until years later. I thought it was great that I had such an eclectic group of friends at school...

Means I have an eclectic group of friends as an adult...

I don't like Jews, because they are oh so stuck up and think they're everything. I know at least 30 Jews from all kinds of places, and they're all smartasses, stuck up, and just plain ******* annoying.

I don't like Black people. I know I am Black.

But they are so old fashioned...

They are so determine to make me their friends...

and want me to go to church every Sunday with them...

Eating fried chicken, corn bread, greens, and all...

Black men, most of them are conservative, which mean they are more likely to be male chauvinists.

I'm light skinned Black, and these black men just treat me like

I'm some kind of prize, I hate that.

I want to learn other cultures... I want to be around Whites...

I feel their life is so much better... so new, so refreshing...

Learning how to make money and all. Eat something so good, try out

roasted chicken and cranberry sauce and all...
