What will California's ammo regulation bill just sign mean for legal and responsible hunters?

How will this effect hunters and sportsmen in the Republik of Kalifornia?

Its gun registration. The government and police will have you in a data base and know all the caliber guns you have.....if not on registration already. The criminals will still get theirs........It just makes it harder on good folks. I guess walmart will do ?????

Now if have a .22cal,9mm,40cal,45cal rifle what now?????

If you tell them its for rifle I bet you have to go through the handgun BS.

It won't. Luckily (if we can actually call it lucky) the bill only covers handgun ammo. The better question should be how is it going to effect competitive pistol shooters in kalifornistan besides them all quitting or moving. No wonder the state sucks so bad. The state has declared war on all business, they wonder why they get to tax revenue and then raise taxes and thusly more people leave.

    obama's wonderland in action.

But this will increase the revenue in the bordering states. I think I may just move near donner pass, get a license to sell ammo as a buisness and sit on the side of the road in a lawnchair with a camper filled with handgun ammo.

From what I read, it means you have to jump through extra hoops to pursue your perfectly legal activity. Get fingerprinted and documented when purchasing ammo? Ridiculous. Does anyone actually believe a criminal would walk into a gun store and offer up a fingerprint? Is tracking the ammo purchases of law abiding citizens going to keep anyone safe from homicidal people? Absolutely not. It's another misguided attempt at gun control which will cost taxpayers and won't solve anything.

I suspect there will be a run on ammo stocks at those gun stores just over the state's border.

I think it is a drive of about 130 miles from Sacramento, CA, to Reno, NV.

I would drive two hours to thumb my nose at these Socialists.
