Who from your team this year were you..?
1. Most happy with their performance
2. Most disappointed.
Me:
1. Watmough, played well and always put in, gave the team a lift with some good busts and hits
2. Kite - it's like he went, "yeah I won the Clive Churchill, don't have to play anymore", very disappointing.

Soward for both. When the team played well he was on fire, when they team played poor he absolutely crumbled. It show's he's only as good as the team around him.
Q. Curious as to where all these Manly fans have come from of late. You been recruiting Blake?

1. Most happy with their performance: Taniela Tuiaki. What can I say? Wow. He sure tormented the opposition wings week after week. Unlucky for his injury late in the season which stopped him from winning Highest Try Scorer and possibly preventing the Tigers from ending a 3 year drought from the finals ever since their premiership. Honorable mentions also go to Moltzen and Ellis, who stepped up significantly for the team, and obviously the playmakers Marshall and Farah. Morris played excellent defence, while Ashyford, Lawrence, Ryan, and Gallant scored some memorable tries through individual efforts, and Marshall/Farah magic. Galloway, Ellis, Heighington, and Payten all put in the hard yards aswell in the forwards, along with Skandalias coming back into the squad halfway through the season due to an injury crisis. Daine Laurie provided some more "raw power" at times, though he also had his brainsnaps *COUGH dropping the ball infront of the tryline against Melbourne COUGH*. I think I have mentioned the entire team now lol. Overall, I was happy with the season, though it would have been nice to make the finals after all the effort the boys put in throughout the season. Hopefully, we can go one step further and make the 8 next year.
2. Most disappointed: Bryce Gibbs. He didn't pull his weight.

1. Most happy with their performance - Agree totally with your selection of Watmough. So often he gave us the lift we needed. I'll be very sad if he leaves as he will be very hard to replace.
2. Most disappointed - I'd pick Orford. He really didn't live up to his Dally M of last year. Was only a shadow of his former self, AND went back to running crab-wise instead of going straight.

I'm a Manly fan too.
I agree with you Watmough stepped up a gear this year, although he was a little inconsistent still
As for the most disappointed, well Brett Stewart really disappointed me by getting suspended like that, but I think really the team was let down by Matt Orford's poor form. You need your number 7 to be on song if you are to have a chance, and his kicking game this year was atrocious, and he didn't really seem to lead the team either.

1. Most happy with their performance - I'm with you Blake, although I'm really happy about Kieran Foran, young emerging superstar. For Toyota Cup, Jamie Buhrer the gun!
2. Most disappointed - Yes Brent Kite but I'm disappointed with Jason King too. He doesn't make any metres nowadays (average metres are in the upper 70's or lower 80's). Same with Josh Perry, although he made it to Origin. Sometimes, I question Ben Farrar. He makes a heap of errors at times.
EDIT: Punchy, I'm saying most of the forwards don't make the metres needed every match. They rarely make 100m (other than Watmough).

1. Dane Nielsen- He really stepped up, and showed that he was a competant winger. Ryan Tandy as well.
2. Anthony Quinn- The only thing he did all year of note, was play the ball the other way, after he had been tackled. That, of course being the time when the Storm hadn't a real 5/8, so the capacity of the team was limitted.

1. Ashton Sims- Like Jarryd Hayne, The 2008 World Cup representation for Fiji Bati made them grow, Ashton in 2009 really stepped up.
(Isn't it funny how you develop when you understand who you are and where you come from?)
2. Joel Clinton- Promising forward, that was looked too for leadership in the forwards after the loss of Petro & Webcke. Joel 2009 had an off field drama with girls, and an injury. His intent was good, his form was ok, His focus for the whole season was patchy.

Most Happy with Kieran Foran and Ben Farrar.
Most Disappointing has to be Tony Williams I think alot of people expected him to be a superstar. And also David Williams had a cracker of a year last year and just sucked this year his defence was non existent.
Thazn have you watched any Manly games this year?
I agree with Kieran Foran.
But your most disappointing players Jason King has had his best year in the Morron and white.Josh Perry made SOO and Ben Farrar has to be the swap of the season he makes Matai look like reserve grade material.

1. Steve Rapira. Proves he is a really good buy and is a plus for the future. Great worker and his offloads are threatening to the opposition. Only thing he needs to improve is ball handling
2. Antonio Kaufusi. He is a decent player, but he showed this year that he might of just struggled to adapt to the climate; he will be better next year.

1. Jarryd Hayne, no need to give a reason. His performance on the field speaks for itself.
2) Really tough, but I'll say Joe Galuvao. No reason though, I can't fault anyone from this season.
