why do I keep seeing Halloween being spelled Holloween?

Is that a new thing or something?

    It's the same as the Noble peace prize. Even Americans can't spell Halloween and they invented the bloody thing.

    Who knows. Someone is always trying to change the English language. Must be people that spell everything as it sounds instead of the way it is suppose to be.
