Turnout for a hack class?
What does my TB need to wear to compete in a hack class?
Am I correct in thinking:
Coloured browband, raised noseband (is a flash ok?), with either a snaffle or a pelham or a double bridle. Dressage saddle with no cloth, no boots. Mane plaited, tail pulled, quarters marked
Rider - black jacket and hat, cream jods, long boots, shirt and tie (of what colour)?
Thanks :)
by the way it's just a local show, nothing fancy.

Right a show hack should be the epitome of good schooling and manners.
As show hack should wear a coloured browband, either a flat or slightly raised browband. A flash is not acceptable at all.
Idealy a double bridle but a simple snaffle is acceptable at local shows if the horse goes very well in it.
Dressage saddle if you absolutley have to, show saddle would be better. no cloth or very discreate numnah. no boots.
Mane plaited, tail pulled, quarters marked, make up on, wiskers off, ears clipped out. feathers off.
Rider - Navy jacket, always navy never ever black on a woman. Cream/beige/very light canary if you are slim jods. cream shirt, tie to match browband. Long black leather boots. Dummy spurs or real spurs. Brown leather gloves. Hair in a bun in a hairnet. Brown show cane.
Zakiit I don't know where you have been showing but in any flat class the only acceptable noseband is a plain cavesson. Perticularly in hack classes. You will get away with a flash in a working hunter classs but no one will ever use a drop noseband as they make the horses head look long and Plain. No matter how pretty the horses head is it never looks good in a drop noseband and hacks are supposed to be very very pretty.
Also a dressage saddle is better then a GP at local level as it shows off the horses shoulder better then the GP. If you wanted to go to higher levels then the judge would be riding and a comfortable show saddle or working hunter saddle would be needed.
I've done HOYS qualifiers with my pony in a dressage saddle and had good marks.
At county level even novice hacks are shown in a double. so idealy any hack should be in a double to show the refinement in thier schooling, they should also be shown one handed if they will go beautifully that way. A hack should be a highly schooled perfect push button ride with manners to burn.

Most of what you have written is fine for a hack class, but I would rather go with a snaffle, dropped noseband (similar action to the flash - which looks as though the horse might pull - not something you want in a hack class, looking as if he might too hot to handle). And a GP saddle, not dressage.
Tie to match one of the colours on the browband - but not lime green!!!! Lol.
