Aren't you tired of seeing anorexic models?

With all the hype surrounding Ralph Lauren and his ridiculously skinny UGLY women, aren't you getting sick of seeing twig models?? Seriously, they don't look hot, they look like they need a doctor and a therapist. I would rather see ads with women that are sized normally, like Eva Mendez or Penelope Cruz or Beyonce or Scarlett Johanson - how about you?

Update:

Kimberly - don't feel bad. Most guys I know do NOT like girls who are so skinny we are scared to break them.

Andrew - I'm 6'4" and lift weights. NOT FAT, see photo.

Melanie - If you don't care, why do you answer yahoo answers?!?! You cared enough to let us know you...don't care? You're quite confused. You need to get a life.

Giggles - I agree up to a point. When they tout unhealthy or unrealistic sizes, it is no longer worthy of celebration, but condemnation.

Update 2:

Veglove - as you can see from the replies, the world's idea of beautiful is NOT sickly women, but women with curves!! It's snooty uppity closet retards like RL who like their women like 12 year old BOYS!!

I completely agree! i have to write something for school on body image and this is definitely going in! there is absolutely no point in using models like these, its just not realistic. they think they look hot but they look like they might faint at any time! beyonce would be brilliant model, shes very pretty. Models should be slightly curvy at least.

No, I understand what you're saying. I have a sister that is five-foot tall, very petite. Her bone structure is very small compared to mine. She wears a Size 2, I think, but looks healthy. She just is a petite woman and has a smaller bone structure. I myself weigh 140 pounds but can wear a size 4 or 6 jeans. It's all dependent on bone structure and body type, how you distribute weight. You can tell when someone looks unhealthy. That's the six-foot models that wear a size 0. Now, that's a problem.

I agree - I saw the Ralph Lauren model, with the waist that was smaller than her head , she looked like an elongated child. No wonder half the female teenage population wants to be a size zero and this category is filled with questions like 'i'm 106 lbs how quickly can I lose 9 lbs?'. Sometimes, fashion is just stupid.

I think fashion ads need to celebrate ALL body types. Yes, I do agree that some of the models used in campaigns and fashion shows look sick, but I bet there are a good deal of them who are naturally thin, and perfectly healthy as well. We can't jump to conclusions and think that just because a model is thin that it means she is anorexic. That is not the case. If media can celebrate the beauty of different body types, I think it would help imorove how people perceive their own bodies.

Definately. It's a shame that the worlds idea of a beautiful woman has the body of a 12 year old boy o_O.

Agreed. It's not fair to normal (not "average", normal) sized women to have to see these people on advertisements like it's the way we are all supposed to look. Those models starve themselves to get that way, it's just not healthy. Not just women, but people in general are most beautiful when they are natural, just themselves, not starved and bony.

ugh I've heard of photoshopping, but the way they photoshopped that model's waist was horrendous.

does that company really think it will attract women to buy their clothes?

    size zero = f*cking stupid.

Why do I care how much anyone else weighs?

Are you really that insecure that what a model who is a total stranger to you looks like?

I have a life and don't give a hot sh*t about somebody in a perfume ad.

What does it have to do with ME? Nothing, I have a life.
