Audio receivers for optimal gaming?
I've got a job, and my old sound receiver from 2003 is looking a bit disheveled and shabby. I'm looking to upgrade the receiver (and receiver only, the speakers are fine) to something newer that is optimal for gaming; specifically, an Xbox360.
Looking to spend up to $250 on a receiver, but the less expensive, the better.
Thank you.
Best Buy is a prefered source, but not a huge issue.
Also, this is the one I'm looking at.

You should buy Pioneer 519 ( $209 ) or Pioneer 819 ($ 299.99 ) also at Best Buy. I recommend Pioneer 819 that supports audio via HDMI connection. With this receiver you can get DTS-HD MA, Dolby True HD or uncompressed PCM up to 7.1 channel from Blu-ray movies.

I'd look at the Onkyo or Yamaha before I'd ever consider a lower end Sony receiver. Keep in mind also that most of these lower end receivers have HDMI pass-through, which means the HDMI ports only handle video, not audio. You'll see many bad reviews concerning this because people didn't do their homework before buying a receiver.
