Do you think Fui Fui Moi Moi deserved the Clive Churchill medal?
I don't want to cause trouble between Melbourne and Parra fans with this one - although I am bracing myself for some sort of backlash - but do you think there is any case for Moi Moi to be awarded the Churchill as best player on the field? I can't really think of anyone who played better than he did?
I know he was from the losing side, but the Churchill has been awarded to players from losing sides before, for example Brad Mackay for St. George in 1993.
Do you think the Clive Churchill should go to a member of the winning team, or should it simply go to the best player regardless of who wins?

I think man of the match awards and the Clive Churchill medals too often go to the best player on the winning side.
Though I think Slater was probably not the standout but was not unworthy of the medal, it was atough choice with many players playing equally as good such as Cronk, Inglis, Moi Moi and Grothe.
So I think Moi Moi definitely could have got the medal.

Moimoi was the best player on the field. If you are in a losing side, you must play exceptionally well to win the Clive Churchill Medal though.

The Churchill Medal has gone to a plyer from the losing before. Brad Clyde and Brad Mackay have both won it from losing teams.
I felt Moi Moi was the best on the field and should have got the medal.

The CC Medal should - and I think mostly does - go to the best player in the GF.
IMO they got it wrong this year. Melbourne won and I think Cronk was the most influential player in their team, in terms of winning the game.
As the Medal winner is chosen by the Australian selectors I think they could sometimes be sub-consciously influenced by who they are looking at to rep. Yes Moi Moi was great when on the field, but he was only great in bursts. Other players did well for the full 80.

It should definately go to the best player on the field, regardless of who wins, but I can understand why it usually goes to a player in the winning team. Using '09 as an example, though, I would say Fui Fui should have gotten the award. Even though he didn't play the full 80 - when he was on the field, I thought he was one of the best.

He was Parra's best player, but Cooper Cronk should have won the Clive Churchill medal

Agree with Murphy's. Cronk was the best on field. Moi Moi just stands out more to fans who don't really know what they're talking about and only notice the big plays.

DEFINITELY MATE, the medal is for best on ground although the way it gets handed out these days it should be "the clive churchill medal for biggest name/most popular player"not being biased but fui was eeeassssilly the best on ground, everything he did was just devestatingly destructive

He definitely deserved it, and that's THAT.
