What is the name of this drink in Turkish?
Samuca in Italian,
Puno (or similar word) in French,
Ouzo in Greek.
Guys, do you know if we have such a drink? A British friend would like me to take him this drink. And I learnt that it is something different than Raki. Help please!

Most posters above me are wrong and probably never drank ouzo and rakı (at least one of them).
I don't know the others but the Greek ouzo,we call it just the same, with turkish spelling: uzo.
It's different from rakı.A softer and and easier to drink. It should be found only in some shops but not all.
I believe your friend confused rakı and ouzo too.But you can let him try rakı.Buy him a nice bottle of tekirdag, he'll never ask for ouzo again :)

I don't know about samuca or puno (who needs them anyway when there is raki)
but ouzo(greek), arak (arabic) and rakı (turkish) are the same thing.
I prefer Yeşil Efe (produced from fresh grapes not from the raisins) nowadays.
Rakı is Rakı . the brand or the type may be different. it may be made of figs (incir rakısı/ fig raki) or from as I stated fresh grapes or from raisins.it may be double distilled etc.
Just buy a bottle or rakı and be sure to have lots of ice in the freezer, add water first then add the ice cubes and enjoy.

You need to make sure that whether your English friend was actually asking Uzo itself, i.e Greek version of Rakı, from you or he just named it Uzo because he didn't know that Turkish version of that drink is called Rakı in Turkey. I find it really weird that someone asking especially Uzo from Turkey. So in case it was not Uzo he was particularly asking, I'd recommend you get him Efe Yaş Üzüm (Green) or Kara Efe (Black- even better but more costly).

It is Raki. I'm 100% sure. I have already tried. Hope it helped.
