why is their xmas stuff up allready it is stuip?

I guess in a way it's nice they are giving us plenty of time to see what they have, and to be able to save up money for what we want, or to purchase it early to avoid the rush. Also, if people have to ship packages to servicemen in Iraq, for example, they need to mail about 8 weeks early.

"they should not be able to do this"? "There should be some law about it"? Are you kidding me? Grow up. Yes, the stores are trying to make money. But then again, that's kind of why they exist. Some people actually like to go shopping early, you know, when they don't have to elbow a stranger in the face to get that ornament. If little kids freak out, well, who cares? The parents can explain to the child that Christmas is in December and this is October, or not. See, it's just not a problem for you. You can roll your eyes and walk past the Christmas display or not even go into the store, but one person isn't going to make a huge difference to them, and it's not hurting you in any way, shape, or form. You can't control it. So just let it go.

if you actually think about it there's not a ton of time until christmas only about 9 weeks so this gives people time to shop around and not have to get all there stuff right in late november and december because thats when everything is going to sell out, so i think the people who shop in ocober are actually the smart ones because at least they'll know that they will have everything they need for the holidays.

Ya I live in NC and K mart, Walmart, and Target already have the Christmas stuff out too I think they should wait till November 1st to put it up.

everyone is talking about seeing Christmas stuff everywhere but i've only seen a small section, hidden behind halloween things at target recently (at the earliest late september). yeah it's annoying but they're stores built to make money and they're trying to make money, you don't have to buy the stuff or even pay any attention to it. i'm not trying to be rude but please chill out it's not that big of a deal! i get it it's annoying and stupid but stop wasting time about it, it's not gonna change, get ready for halloween or do something productive instead!

Actually it's not stupid at all. A lot of people are really hurting this year with money. So I see it this way. Put stuff up earlier, people can start buying a few things here and there, and it doesn't hurt their wallets as much. If you don't like it, don't look at it. Pretty simple.

Actually they didn't put up the displays until mid September.

I know that because I ran out of Christmas wrapping paper at the end of July, and have been watching for Christmas wrap since!

They put their displays up so early for people like me- I start my Christmas shopping on boxing day and by the time July rolls around I'm considering what decorating theme I want to do this year.

Its only 9 weeks till xmas, so when you think about it from retail point of view, it makes sence.

As soon as fathers day is over they start getting ready for xmas.

Wow...get over it. If you dont like it then dont buy anything. Its not hurting anyone being out and all stores put things out for holidays well in advance. Heck where I live Valentines Day stuff starts going out on Boxing Day, Easter stuff goes out the day after Valentines Day, Summer stuff goes out with the Easter stuff, Halloween stuff is out come mid summer and Christmas stuff is out once kids go back to school. Who the heck cares?

yh, that seems a lil bit stupid to be honest. In the middle of october! in the uk atm we only have the chocolate calenders out, but no decorations or trees yet. so in australia, maybe they haven't looked at the date??
