Some of the reasons for joining a gang may include:
* A search for love, structure, and discipline
* A sense of belonging and commitment
* The need for recognition and power
*Companionship, training, excitement, and activities
* A sense of self-worth and status
*A place of acceptance
* The need for physical safety and protection
* A family tradition
----i have to identify which Maslow level of need is being met by that reason.--- It is possible to list more than one.----one of them is going to be used a lot more than the others
This is what i have:
Physiological(breathing, food, water)
Safety(ex: security of body,employment,health,family, property,resources)

Love/belonging (ex: family, intimacy, friendship)
*A family tradition
*A place of acceptance
*Companionship, training, excitement, and activity
*A sense of belonging and commitment
*A search for love, structure, and discipline
Esteem(ex: self esteem, respect from others, confidence achievement)
*A sense of self-worth and status
*The need for recognition and power
self-actualization (ex: morality, creativity, problem solving, acceptance of facts)
are the one i have right???..tell me if i have to add a reason to another level...im confused...thanks

it depends on the gang, some gangs just do some practical jokes, some are bad some are good, some helps those who are in need, some are all businessmen who are filthy rich, some are all intellectuals
a sense of identity
sex, being intimate is different
realization of faculty
able to perform task to ones maximum potential
acceptance of others
What do you breath in a gang? cocaine?
what happened to the hygiene needs?
sleeping and exercise
learning or intellectual needs?

To have something sacred that you earned and is recognized by the others and is given respect. To belong to something that means something important to live for and to be loyal until the end.
That gives you a purpose in life.
I'm talking about honor like a badge of honor.
Bikers gangs wear the badge that is sacred to them.
