Many websites that sell supplies will also have free "how to" pages. You can also do a search "free necklace designs" or word it for whatever product you want to make. Also check your local craft store for instructional flyers hanging near the cording & beads or sometime centrally located in the front of the store
eBay is an easy outlet for selling items, but it can demand a big chunk of your time if you have a large inventory. Etsy is another outlet. As for locally, I would suggest checking with boutiques and gift shops in your area to first, see what they offer, and second to discuss consigment.
Lastly, you could start your own e-commerce store, for which there is a ton of resources online already.

have a look on the internet for your items other than hobbycraft. They're quite expensive in that shop. have a look around the internet. I got a starter kit from e-bay with the tools findings and beads in, also a starter sheet. that got me started onto other things.
you could sell on e-bay, or you could ask the shops if they want to sell your goods. perhaps a charity shop? not sure they will buy though. you could sell to your friends, at boot sales and table top sales.

you are talking about craft jewelry right?
and not precious metal design
well some of the tools arte the same from walsh bros birmingham
Here are some pathways to get started
1 copy designs you see in mags or on the high street( top companies do so you can too)
deconstruct stuff from charity shops .. remake it to your designs
sell to other students through student markets or local outdoor markets
or craft fairs

www.madeitmyself.com is free to sell on right now but will start charging soon. Even when it does fees will be minimal. As for ideas and projects check firemountainbeads.com or jewelrymaking.about.com

Try your library for patterns.
You could sell them through ebay.com, etsy.com, or through your own website. Or you could try to find a shop near you that will accept them on consignment.
