Think I've Decided On My Baby's Name!!?
In just under four months i'm adopting a baby girl from a surrogate mother! See my other questions to find out more info. I think I have decided on a name to go with my other three daughters who have unusual names aswell. Arra Harmony, Leilah Ivory & Madeleine Teneille. I was obsessing over, Amelie Jessica, Serephine Matilda or Chianna Marie, but have since found a new beautiful one that I adore, Drumroll please:
Aurelia Serephine (Aw-Re-Lia or Aw-Rae-Lia) (Serra-Feen)
I think I can now contact the birth mother! What are your opinions on the soon to be baby's name and also my other girls?
BigD, If you bothered to read my other questions, you would know that I only applied for adoption is because I was trying to get pregnant for 12 heartbreaking years and was unsuccessful. I have a 13 year old Madi and out of the blue got pregnant with twins Arra and Leilah and was still chosen by the mother of my soon to be baby. Surrogacy is a beautiful thing and should be accepted, It helps so many families. Areola is the area around a nipple Ar-e-ola FYI
Sorry for any misunderstandings, Leilah is like Layla
B. White, Im not sure how to phrase it so everyone understands, it is quite complicated. My husband's sperm and my egg were arranged to be implanted into the woman but at the last minute she changed her mind and needed time to think it over. But about 5 and a half months ago she agreed to go ahead with it and now the baby being born will be related to me and is biologically and legally my unborn child.
So technically, i'm not adopting but it is easier to explain it that way. Sorry for all of the extra details!

Ok, I LOVE this name! Very beautiful and classy! Earlier today, I was thinking about this name (Aurelia) and all this time I have been pronouncing it, "O-reel-ee-uh" but then I realized it was sounding like "Oh really, uh" and so I decided I didn't love it as much. BUT, then you come in with this other pronunciation of Aw-rae-lee-uh and now I love it again!
It kind of reminds me of Aurora, which I also like but not as well.
Anyways, enough rambling.....GREAT name!

Congratulations on your beautiful twin girls, what a blessing! Of the names you listed, my favorite is Aurelia Serephine.
I don't understand though. If you are using a surrogate, the child the woman carries would be biologically related to you and/or your husband. It would be prearranged before she even became pregnant.
If you are adopting, then the child is biologically related to the pregnant mother and biological father. My guess is that you are describing an infant adoption where you were pre-matched with a mother considering surrending her infant. Be careful with falling for this unborn child too soon. The biological parents may change their mind and decide to keep the child (and it is their right to do so). It would probably be best to focus on your three children. Unless and until the biological parents sign adoption papers, they are the parents to the child.
EDIT: Thank you for the explanation. I was afraid that you were getting your hopes up too soon. I have seen many potential adoptive parents get too attached too soon only to realize that the mother wanted to keep the baby after all. Congratulations and I hope the surrogacy goes smoothly.

Amelie Jessica or Chianna Marie......You sure don't make it easy for educators that need to keep track of a couple of hundred kids and the correct spelling of their names! Sorry to be so harsh.

I like the Serphine, but not spelled that way. Sarafina looks nicer, the other way looks like your spelling Serpant. I like Leilah a lot but spelled Lyla. When it's this hard to pronounce your names, its not good. I get so tired of having to spell my last name, your kids will too.
Source(s): It's great that you are adopting, but if you can have your own first you should. God told us to be fruitful and multiply. A baby is what comes from the love of a husband and wife, this was God's plan. - ?Lv 71 decade ago
I think Aurelia Seraphine is absolutely gorgeous! I love these kinds of obscure classic, ultra-feminine names.
Your other daughters' names aren't so in line with my personal taste (although I do love Madeleine). But they're not too terrible.
I definitely like Aurelia Seraphine best!
