Is Eating eggs, bacon, chocolate chip pancakes and toast everyday bad?
I have been eating 4 scrambled poached eggs that I make in my egg cooker, along with 3 pieces of bacon I make on my electric skillet, then I make 2 chocolate chip pancakes that I top with strawberry preserves and margarine. Then 2 pieces of white toast that I also top with margarine.
I have been eating this every morning for about 2 weeks now. I have noticed that I am not nearly as hungry all day long. Is eating this everyday really all that bad for you? My sister claims its much too high in Cholesterol.
not sure if it matters but
I am 26 years old and weigh about 150lbs and am 6ft tall
This breakfast really that bad?

It depends on your body. If you're 150lbs and 6-feet tall, you certainly aren't overweight and aren't in danger of being so. You're young and it seems like your metabolism is pretty fast, so that's good. If you're an active person who gets a lot of exercise, then this diet in terms of weight gain shouldn't be an issue. Look at these athletes who eat breakfasts that are higher in carbs and fat than yours is. Also, a large breakfast is actually very beneficial: it kicks up your metabolism; and as you've noticed, doesn't leave you hungry throughout the day. Just make sure you balance out the rest of the day with some fruits and vegetables. Perhaps some fruit on top of the pancakes with the syrup and leave out the margarine.
Also, I would use butter instead of margarine. It's a little bit healthier because it's actually natural, whereas margarine isn't. Margarine raises your bad cholesterols, weakens your immune system, and the trans fats can raise your insulin levels. I would be careful with the cholesterol. Even thin people can have dangerously high cholesterol.
All being said, at your next physical see how your cholesteral, weight, etc., is doing. If it's fine, then hoorah! You're young, your metabolism is working! Once you hit 30 it's all downhill from there (medically proven that your metabolism slows every 10-years once you hit 30!) So go for it! Eat this breakfast while you can. I used to be able to eat like that, but now much older, I can't even look at a pancake without the calories finding their way to my hips!
BTW: My grandfather who was never fat or overweight smoked 2-cigars a day, ate butter on everything, a pile of sausage, scrambled eggs, and potatoes once a week, red meat or poultry at every dinner, donuts and sticky breakfast sweets without even thinking about health risk, and a 3-scoop bowl of full-fat Breyers ice cream (or chocolate chip cookies) with a glass of whole milk EVERY single night right before bed. He did this until the day he died. He lived to be 86, and I'm sure that he did so with a smile on his face.

Well, it doesn't sound good for you, but it does sound good.
In medical health terms:
You shouldn't eat eggs every day due to cholesterol, and you shouldn't have chocolate chips in pancake batter or jam and I suppose you shouldn't have that much toast.
To heck with it all, there will come a day where you can't eat that stuff without it going straight to your stomach, enjoy it whilst you're young and remember the day when you could!
Bon Apetit!

You are tall and need a lot of calories. If this is all you eat for the day its fine. You seem to cook very healthily as well so theres not too much fat except for the margarine.Cut out some of the margarine .Its the pancakes that worry me most, but we are all different in what we eat and you wont gain weight at your age from this as long as you are active. In short , if you are a couch potato its an awful diet but if you are rushing about and working , using a lot of energy during the day then its not that bad.

It's not great that's for sure. That's alot of saturated fat and cholesterol! I suggest you try to introduce some fibre (whole grain bread or cereal) it'll make it alot healthier and make up for a bit of the cholesterol. A bit of fruit would be a good idea too, you may not feel it now but that kind of breakfast can lead to fatigue and long term things like heart disease and high blood pressure.

Well....Duh. Eggs are healthy so thats ok. Bacon is just fat (but who doesn't like it). Pancakes are ok...But not everyday with chocolate chips, try with Banana. And toast is just carbs. Have you noticed any change in weight since you started eating this?

Yes and no....
First it depends on your body, everyone is different.
If you exercise regularly that will help control it.
Take fish oil capsules to reduce cholesterol or eat seafood.
So in short.... basically no. It's likely the pancakes with their carbs will do more harm. still, follow my above directions, you'll be fine.

mentally no (it all tastes so great), but it could take a toll long term if u keep it up everyday...maybe try some healthy alternatives to these like turkey bacon or egg whites n that should help with the cholesterol n calories...it sounds like u have a high metabolism so it shouldnt hurt u in the near future...just watch it for the long run
