Nascar fans: I love Jimmie Johnson but wouldn't you like to see someone else win sometime?

I just feel sorry for Jr. He just can't catch a break.

I am happy for Jimmie's fans but am getting tired of seeing him win. I was hoping for a win from anyone else.

Amen to that! Jimmie is a very, very good driver, the PuppetMaster Chad Knaus is amazing + top notch Hendricks equipment & resources = a likely 4-peat for #48. I respect Jimmie & the #48 team but am getting a bit tired of them staying on a Chase roll. It's like the Kyle Busch juggernaut during the regular season last year: same old, same old. I was hoping for a better showing from first-time Chaser Brian Vickers but am still holding out hope for Smoke or Mark Martin to nudge Jimmie aside for the Cup.

I am a Jeff Gordon fan but his team just cant get that little extra they need , I like Jimmy also especially since Gordon is part owner of his team but I was really pulling for Mark Martin , to see him get his first championship at 50 or 54 would be exciting . Jeff has won a total of 84 races , Jimmy has 46 and Martin about 40 total in their cup careers .

Yes and I think many people are. I'm a Gordon fan and I'm hoping Letarte is able to find that extra speed soon because Jimmie is on his way to a 4th championship.

As of right now, its a one man Chase with Johnson. The only driver that can probably make a run at it will be Gordon since he has been running extremely well recently.

Yes, I would like to see someone else win it...Next year. I want Jimmie to win this year. The 48 team is the best right now but it wont last forever and I respect what they have been able to accomplish and as soon as another team is able to reach that level they will be able to de throne the 48 team.

Nothing against Jimmie or his fans, but argh, I would love to see someone else win. Anybody else, but preferably Mark Martin. A championship for him, or JPM, or heck, even Smoke would be far more exciting than just another one for Jimmie.

  • I agree with Fluffy. With that said, watching Kasey Kahne last night was thrilling. Kasey was hot! For a long while, it looked like the race was his!!!!!! Math Kenseth was on, too. All in all, last night's race was one of the best / most competitive....... I like that in a race. (You're afraid to leave the room for fear something is going to happen while you're gone!)

Dale Jr. I cannot believe his car breaks every race....... Why does that happen? (I'm not being sarcastic just in awe.) Every darn race, he either wrecks or his car breaks. Jr.'s team mates are Gordon, Johnson, and Martin....... Their cars seem to work...... Dale Jr.'s parts must come from a salvage yard! I can't figure it out. Every race something happens to his car. It depresses me as a spectator, so I can only imagine how he must feel.

I would LOVE for Jeff Gordon to win. If Jeff can't win this year's championship, then I'm rooting for Mark Martin... But they are all on the same team, and Jeff is a co-owner of the #48, so I guess Jeff would technically win (in a smaller way of course).

Yes! I love Jr too & have to wonder if HMS is holding him back. Jr's season is looking like Kyle Bush's when he was w/ HMS. When he left & went to Gibbs, he started winning. Hmm, makes you wonder if HMS has so much $$$ tied up in #48 & 24 that they don't want to see Jr do well

I don't just Love Jimmie, but he is on a roll, this year is his, unless something really big happens...As for Jr. maybe next year he will do better, he needs to really commit himself and want it. Look at Martin, he really committed himself this year and did really well.
