Why do people get upset when they don't like the answer?

ex. When asked why do Christians consider Being gay a sin, people jumped all over it.The truth is that it says it in the Bible.it's fine if you don't like it, but that is the truthful answer. And Christian doesn't just mean Born Again.Anyone who believes Jesus is God is a Christian.Do you think Jews accept homosexuality? It's right in the old testament. so why call people names just because you disagree with their religious beliefs? Are there any religions that promote homosexuality?

Then why do Christians legislate their beliefs? Religious morality should NEVER be legislated. It's fine if you don't like it, but keep it out of the government.

And please, show me one single verse where God or Jesus spoke against homosexuality. You can't. The only ones that did were Moses and Paul.

This Christian (among many) doesn't believe being gay is a sin. Some of the bible was written by homophobes and misogynists so I don't feel obligated to follow them. God expects me to use my mind to sift the evidence and reject what is not in accord with the way of Jesus, which was about love.

Love yourself so you can love your neighbor. Love your enemy. Turn the other cheek. Feed the hungry. Clothe the naked. Visit in the prisons, mental hospitals, old folks homes, pediatric wards etc. Pray and meditate to improve your conscious contact with God.

Gay men and women are born that way. They just want to be left alone to live out their lives the same as the rest of us.

In my experience the hate and wrath are in the so-called Christians not in the gays, although, being the targets of so much vilification can sometimes push them into anger, as it would anyone.

All the time you're focusing on gays is time you're neglecting Jesus and God. Which is, of course, what the devil wanted! So he's winning, folks!

    I don't dislike gay people

BUT, equal rights to anyone who claims them to ANYTHING? its not as righteous as a hasty opinion can realize

at some point its like why don't people just realize that trying to modify a religion in such a way goes against the equal rights those religions have, and trying to install a "socially acceptable" sin into the teachings of religion corrupts the whole method of practice.... wrong or not... not everyone should be forced to tolerate it with happy smiles and open arms

    live and let live

something many people can't even comprehend in this forum,

If we constantly focus only on the stones in our mortal path, we will

almost surely miss the beautiful flower or cool stream provided by the

loving Father who outlined our journey. Each day can bring more joy

than sorrow when our mortal and spiritual eyes are open to God's

goodness. Joy in the gospel is not something that begins only in the

next life. It is our privilege now, this very day. We must never allow

our burdens to obscure our blessings. There will always be more

blessings than burdens--even if some days it doesn't seem so. Jesus

said, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it

more abundantly." Enjoy those blessings right now. They are yours and

    always will be."

Maybe it is the tone the answer is given. Especially when it comes to homosexuality.

Instead of answers like "The Bible says it is wrong

or My interpretation of the Bible says it is wrong."

People often go nuts explaining why anyone who is gay is bad, evil and going to hell.

No one is perfect. There are many things in the Bible and no one follows them all. It just seems that since most people are not gay, they act superior because that is the one "rule" that they can follow with out any problem.

Scientology is in accordance with homosexuality. I am not and never will be gay, but I know about the scientologist theories.

At any rate, people get upset when it effects them personally. Maybe they are gay, have the tendencies to be gay, or know someone that is gay.

Ever seen Religulous when he interviewed the gay guy and said there was a gay gene. Do you find that to be true? Is there?

I'm a Christian, and I'm not against Homosexuality. Frankly I don't care about What Sexual orientation people may be. To me, it's what's on the inside, whether they're a nice person, not whether they're gay and like men, who cares? I don't, They can be all they want, it's their personality that counts. Personally, I'm straight but i don't care what sexual orientation people are. It's whats on the inside. I don't personally think anyone should be against bisexuality or homosexuality, as i said before it's whats on the inside that counts and whether they're a nice person. But if they're against it, that's fine with me, that's just my opinion.

    Hope this helps.

Because they don't really want to know. People will swallow a whole truck load of BS but you cannot get them to even open their mouths for the truth. Plus they are waiting on the candy God you know the one that says you can do anything you want and it will be okay. They want God to constantly stroke their ego.

NOBODY has the right to tell someone how to live their life, or who they can have sex with. ESPECIALLY, those that get their values from primitive Bronze Age mythology. Keep your primitive values to yourself, and I will continue to be an "Overperson"

The bible is a fairy tale based on other fairy tales, and if you go to books.google.com, you can download a book called Bible Myths and Their Parallels to Other Religions. It was written 150 years ago, and was used at Harvard Seminary. It proves that most bible stories were "copied and pasted" and aren't even original, let alone real, and the priests know this too.

when people ask me questions like that I make sure they understand they are not going to like the answer before I answer it. If they give me hell after words then its time to walk away. I have friends who are gay and so on but we hardly ever talk about those sorts of things and when we do its friendly debate. if your hanging around people who are gonna do that to you then you should leave. they aren't worth the pain. They obviously don't understand that even though we don't except their sin we still care and love them as people. My friends don't except what I believe but they except me as a person and thats why we're friends.

Well the Greeks never seem to have had a problem with it. Most of the Mediterranean nations have been open about homosexuality in their religions and governments.
