Where are the majority of Indy films shot/filmed? I was wanting to get into Acting and was curious as to where they're shot or where they do their casting calls?

Impossible to say. The word Indie simply denotes that the production is privately financed or hasn't been picked up for distribution by a studio. LA and NYC are still your best bet as both have entrenched and well respected film schools.
