Well, you might consider that she won't be around forever. If you're over 50, you need to grow up. BTW, I'm 63 and lost my Mom in 1994. I'm not saying your mother isn't difficult. Obviously, I don't know your mother. But you might just think about ways to distance yourself a little without losing the fact that she is your mother. You're old enough to make some adjustments.

You can shop around, or take a holiday break, maybe even be allowed to foster one for a short time if your are really lucky, but you are not allowed to adopt at this time. It's the unspoken rule, your mom is your mom, is your mom....there will never be another one. And now that you are older and wiser sorry but, this news can be broken to you.

Why not have yourself a chocolate to help take the news..... ;-o

LOL - yes, you sure can! No paperwork required... It's a matter of perspective and mind-set.

Tell your mother that you've decided to adopt a mom who will to sooth your nerves rather than inflame them. If that gets her thinking, and makes her want to talk things out a little...so much the better! You might just end up with two caring moms in the end. :-)

My dear K, you should be glad she's here to grate your last nerve.

Mine passed yrs. ago, & she could grate a nerve with the best of them.

    Still miss her. )):

No you can't adopt another Mother, you only have one, the one God gave you. lol, GBU ((:

I'll take her. The warranty on mine ran out and she dropped dead. I could use a spare babbysitter. Does she eat much? I have spare room in the basement behind the water heater. I won't take any nonsense, though. Any trouble from her and she'll do hard time in the box!! That's out in the back yard...
