How do I get rid of little tiny black ants in my house plants?
I was given a bag of opened potting soil to repot some of my house plants.I used this soil and about two to three days later I noticed lots of really tiny ants crawling around on the newly potted plants. Now they have gone over into my existing house plants. What can I do to get rid of these pests quickly before they get any worse and without harming my plants?

Purchase a soap based pesticide -one that's safe for indoor plant use. Make sure you spray the leaves and the soil well to prevent further spread. Any of the DIY stores carry this type of spray. Good luck!

Mixing water and ivory or lemon joy dish soap to make a spray will kill them.
Putting some baby powder, with talc, around the pots will keep the ants out of your pots.
